What tangible reason is there for a GROWN woman in a COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP to have MALE FRIENDS?

The same stuff you talk to your female friends about - you as my BF cannot fulfill every role or need I have. A variety of friendships fill different needs.

What overlapping things are you talking to both your female friends and male friends about? reality tv and gossip bullshyt? :mjlol:

If you can talk to other men about them then why can't you talk to the boyfriend?

The same things I do with my girls (that isn’t generally gendered like getting nails done). Do I need to spend 100% of my downtime up under my man? No.

Name them and please define why can't they be done with the boyfriend?

Why can’t she do that with her friends - regardless of their sex?

You’re literally making the case that someone should do something like bush 10 years of friendship because they got a new boyfriend at 28? How does that make sense? What are you afraid of? You think in all that time of them being platonic friends that now that she’s wife’s up they’re gonna want to fukk?

Things change once you get into a relationship.

I have female friends, once I got into a relationships regular communication with them ceased the same with them on their end once they got boyfriends. THE fukk do I need to talk to them regularly for when I have a woman and the same with them when they have a man :what:

That's mistrust right there though, what you just said. If a friendship is a real friendship why are you worried about "relationship dynamics" at all?

"I don't feel comfortable with you going to his house and spending time there alone..."

"Well, we've known each other for 15 years so...."

You see my point now? You shouldn't be placating someone's insecurity about a situation if the friendship is real
What? I as a woman could understand another woman not wanting her man hanging at my house despite there being nothing romantic between us. As a friend, I’d be happy to make his life easier by meeting up with him in public places. It doesn’t take being the opposite sex for a friendship to affect the s/o. My friend’s husband wouldn’t let her go to certain cities on girls trips back when the majority of the crew was single. We as women acknowledged that and made him feel at ease by picking bumfukk cities to meet up in.

As a friend, regardless of if I feel the s/o is being insecure, I will make accommodations within certain bounds to make them feel better because I care about my friend and helping them to keep a happy relationship

So you acknowledge that most people have an issue with it and you acknowledge that men/women can't be friends in the same way as friends who are the same sex.

Like I said, I personally have friends who are women and I don't feel like I should have to get rid of them because of a woman I'm dating. But I acknowledge that society has a problem with it overall.

I’m not going to keep going in circles. Friends are friends regardless of sex, romantic relationships dont replace your friendships. People naturally have less time for friends once partnered, but you don’t need to cut off a friendship for a relationship

No, I’ve said men and women can be friends the same way - I have platonic male friends. What I acknowledged is that some people may be threatened by that and it’s easier to make accommodations if that makes my friends life easier.

S/O and then there’s the other stuff where you want to complain about a behavior, or question what a response could’ve really meant. Etc. are you not familiar with what women discuss with friends!?

Again you're in a committed relationship. If you want a "male perspective" then DIRECTLY ask the boyfriend who will then give you a FIRST HAND account/perspective about the situation. You will not get anything more clearer than that.

Those nikkas are the biggest haters and simps though gotta watch em, those types like to play dirty.

True

True AF.
No you got to watch your girl if she's the one with male friends. When yall fight she's going to be looking to some other man to validate her feelings no matter how rabid minded they are.

That's actually the time, the friend, needs to pull away and tell her to work out her issues with her man. What ends up happening is women will start talking crazy about their man to a friend who will get to co-signing every nonsense that comes out of her mouth instead of being a voice of reason and balanced judgment. Like you said that could be because of some latent simping or them just caring a little too much about their friends feelings and always wanting them to win even when they're wrong.

When she's upset she's going to tell her man how you, the friend, agree with her bs statements and now you've got a new enemy because you didn't know how to mind your damn business.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
Because any normal well-balanced human being has friends of both sexes.

Some of y'all are off y'all rockers.

And the reason why you have this viewpoint is because the female "friends" that you have, you look at them as potentials to hookup. And you look at them that way because you're p*ssy starved and that's the only thing a woman can offer you that's valuable in that mind state. And you think all men think this way hence a committed woman shouldn't have any male friendships.

What y'all have with these women are not true friendships because your intentions are not pure. And then y'all extrapolate this mindset and apply it to all men.
This clown shyt right here :russ:

These were women I considered sisters but they were lonely and trying to gauge my commitment level to my wife

I don't have a problem with a woman having male friends, but she does have a responsibility to let her male friends know where they stand with her.

If said woman is in a relationship, especially in a marriage, then she need to respect her significant other/husband and not cross boundaries.

As long as there is a mutual understanding from all parties involved, then I see no issue...

Besides, many of these so called "friendships" aren't bonifide friendships. At best, they are friendly associates or acquaintances which will fizzle out in time..*shrugs*

TYRONE GA!
my male friends came/come from school and a handful of coworkers...we not texting/talking daily like I do with my close girls, but nothing wrong with catching up every few months.

No doubt. But cats gotta realize those situations are outliers and not the norm for most people.

Some of these responses have me wondering if some dudes have really experienced the full spectrum of “friendship” with women. There have been plenty of times when female friends have got at me or been interested in more. Without me applying ANY pressure. Sometimes I acted on it, other times I’ve left it alone.

If you’re got your shyt together, women, friend or not, will sometimes throw it at you. Sometimes when you least expect it.

How folks think women can monkey branch from one nikka to the nikka in no time after a relationship? Because she got with one of her male “friends”.

Can men and women be platonic friends? Yes, of course. But this idealistic view that men and women can operate like friends of the same sex has not been my experience.

All that said, trying to prevent your girl from having male friends is kind of pointless. They gonna stray or they not. Control what you can control.

Taylor Rooks doesn’t want to date a man that doesn’t have any female friendships.

It doesn’t link, just watch it on IG.

Somewhere tropic...
Define friend and the boundaries that come along with that
Cause a woman telling me she's gonna kick it with her guy bestie for the day or hang at his crib
wouldn't be a woman I take serious
And I've had a coworker I was really cool with
but I stayed out her nikka's way :usure: Respect that man
