I'm trying to stop using laptops all together since I don't play games or do any type of video production work, and just switch to tablets for the portability. I got an ipad air from the local hustle man and I just couldn't fukk with this shyt, all the apps were basically barely working versions of PC apps I can download for free, sold that shyt on craiglist

It's a fukking toy TBH. I use mine a lot to go on the Coli but you have to go out if your way to make this think useful in a work sense. Love the form factor and portability but the iMac will always be king in my crib. I'm trying to justify getting a MacBook right now just because.

If I get this promotion next month I'm getting that shyt.

First world problem.

I've come to the conclusion that tablets are just not for me. At least not in the way they are intended to be used. I mean my whole argument was that I wanted a full OS on my tablet so I bought a windows 8 tablet...still just an internet browser.

It is solely a media consumption device. Trying to do any serious work on one will get you as far as you do on your phone.

I usually just watch sports and movies/tv on mine. Sometimes I browse the web and use it as a phone but it's mainly a key asset in the cut cable movement. I can mirror anything on it to the big screen with apple tv.

And of course it's great for taking dumps too. :ehh:

you can do all that on the phone 400 plus to web surf is retarded, I'm just saying there's no justifying the price for such a useless thing

I just wanted to write my book on, but the ipad writing apps were inferior even with the keyboard it was just pointless

Purchase a Apple Wireless Keyboard, Apple Keynote or Microsoft Office for your iPad and you're good to go. You never have to worry about taking a laptop to class again. You can also upload your documents to iCloud, Dropbox and etc.

As far as Phones Vs. Tablets. When I'm on the move out in public, my iPhone is the number one choice. If I'm in a fixed comfortable setting, I'm going with my iPad. Screen real estate of tablets just makes things more viewable and comfortable to use.

As far as heavy duty work goes...if I'm out in public I'm using my MacBook Pro and as for heavy duty work at home my iMac is used.

Download LogMeIn,
Let's you connect, boot up, view and use your MacBook Pro and iMac all on your iPhone and iPad.
