I remember a thread like this last year when the mods said they'll turn off the ads after a few complaints

What browser are you on ? Look on the bottom right & delete that tab fella

thats just an icon for new tabs. you dont need other tabs open for it to appear like that

I just got a new phone. Same pop ups for me like before.The only other sites I visit are corporate or something like politico. It's not his phone. It's this site.

OP, have the same problem on my iphone from time to time. It only happens on the Coli and I don't visit sketchy sites or download anything. Specifically, it happens when I click a link to open in a new tab. The new tab will open the link for a few seconds, then turn into the Amazon ad.
