just reading the 1st post and they are right. even back then I remember felling like Raw from the end of Wrestlemania 17 to the following year was a let down. they absolutely dropped the ball on the "invasion" angle. then they get the nWo and put them in some crappy angles. the only highlights were their debut, and the rock/hogan promo the next night.link is a thread I came across Interesting read

shyt. you have all those stars that have NEVER been in the ring together and you just have a handicap match on Raw? WACK.the nwo vs Austin and rock on Raw was some realshyt.
Yeah let's ignore how trash 1999 was, 2000-X7 after he left being the best year in company history and Russo tanking WCW during that same timespanWhat's crazy to me is people still deny Russo when you can clearly see the difference to when he got there and when he left

When Russo left they had their biggest year in historyDid you not watch WCW when he got there? As for the OP question RAW in 02 is the definition of underachievement, they had a loaded roster and had no idea how to book them. It also didn't help that this was the beginning of HHH's reign of terror. What's crazy to me is people still deny Russo when you can clearly see the difference to when he got there and when he left

They had Rock, Austin, Hoegan, Flair, Taker, HHH, Angle, Jericho, Hall, Nash, Big Show, Booker rookie Brock, RVD, the Hardyz, Guerrero, Benoit and more and shyt only got good at Summerslam and beyond once Heyman got the Smackdown Six and Brock cooking in the fall.
