What tracks did you not like from Dilla's Donuts?

This album is masterful...

The only track I don't like is The Factory

Lightworks was just okay

everything else to me was

It's hard enough to find a 13 track album without weak spots in production...This album was 29/31 for me.

I agree with you on those were relatively weak tracks but even so, I usually play that album from front to back.

I don't care for "Factory", but I can tolerate it. Everything else is gravy.

album ist overrated. i only like "waves", "two can win", "gobstopper", "dilla says so", "u-love", "bye" and the last track.

beats are mostly just loops over weak drums. that coming from a big fan of dilla... the "ummah"/"sv" dilla...

Is it blasphemous of me to say, I only play like a few tracks off of it? The beginning and end are fire, but the middle it dragged to me.

And i'm a Dilla stan hands down. I actually play his beat tapes more than Donuts.

I'm a big fan of Jay's work with Slum, especially The Fantastic Vol. 2. I can definitely understand your sentiment regarding the loops.

For myself, it didn't really take anything away from the album because of the circumstance and what he chose to sample. That's what made joints like " Don't Cry ", " U-Love ", and " Stop " ill (to me).
Just my 2 cents.
