2008, and it was already great before the Cena return. The HBK/Taker interaction especially. Thats one of the best ever imo.

The crowd was also going crazy for that whole ending segment with HHH/Batista/Cena, just very well booked.

Hbk and takers beginning and ending rumble interactions leading to their two matches is so incredible...its mindblowing how well they did it over years of booking

The '08 Rumble match was good shyt all the way thru- I'd say a possible top 5 all-time... and I enjoyed last year's- at least til it came down to the last two.

There were reports the Garden's roof had holes in it from the pop I got that night. Interesting note, that not too many people know about, was that I was supposed to win the Rumble that night and Main Event mania that year with The Miz. Hunter pitched it to Vince, but unfortunately he shot it down. Hunter said something about me outpopping Miz and Rocky, which was understandable.
