A long time ago people used to buy singles and albums in cassette and cd format. I know it must seem so foreign to actually leave your house and go to the store to buy music, but I believe it made people actually appreciate artists more. Anyway what was the first album you ever purchased? Since I am a 88'er my first cd was (I am embarrassed to say) was Immature Single "We got it" :scusthov: and first Hip Hop Album was Bone Thugs' E. 1999 Eternal via cassette :jawalrus: Anyway just wanted to know what your guys first purchase was.

Doggystyle cassette...I remember the hating ass cashier was trying to ask my mom if she was sure she wanted to buy it for me. :damn:

To the man above: I remember walking into a store with my father and going right up to the counter and buying explicit cassettes myself. Cashier looked at me like :huh: and rang them shyts up anyway :noah:

snuck and bought the 'mo money, mo problems' single raw with the instrumental and that biggie r. kelly collab about 2 weeks later though.
