What was the impact of the Hard Knock Life Tour on rap music?

It was a big deal because Jay-Z and crew really pushed it and it showed how viable and valuable touring was for artists big and small. That tour helped put on a lot of talent particularly Beanie Siegel, Ja Rule and Eve. Plus there was never really a megatour that featured that much talent in one show.
