The movement started with a thread in HL that just asked if white people are inherently evil. Then it became a a meme and tag. The whole movement was about open dialogue about race, outing supremacist trolls, and spreading knowledge of the history of white people being evil as discussion pieces.

There's more to it but I'm gonna have a drink before I go on.

It was a joke rooted in truth. Of course, white people can't take a joke. This is the joke: don't call white people evil just present evidence, ask them how they feel about it, then say "I'm not sure if white people are evil but look at THIS.".
