It's hard enough trying to name anything from recent as a classic. What's the last album from anyone that is universally looked at as a classic? I have my opinions, but no one agrees on shyt nowadays.

In my opinion these are classic beats:

True great point

Some of these songs I’ve heard and a few I haven’t

Listening to the songs now

My favorite off that album is this

"Take Your Time" was dope too!

When he got away from the SP 1200, and started working on the MPC, his kinda lost his sound, to me. It didn't have that same knock and groove. But from '92-'98, he was easily one of my favorites. You couldn't lose with a Pete Rock beat back then.

Right?!

Man I love that song; that’s one of those songs I can ride around and listen to on repeat all night long :ohlawd:

That’s it!

It’s his move away from the SP 1200 that changed that soulful groove and knock to his beats.

Bro, I miss that 91 to 98’ era of Pete Rock’s production

I agree, but he still uses the SP 1200, or at least has beats from the stash that he uses.
