obviously going from 2D to 3D was HUGE....

but for me, it was going from playstation to dreamcast. I got my playstation in '99 (I was kinda late on it) so that means I was playing playstation games & dreamcast games around the same time. when shenmue came out I had just started final fantasy Vll, and well....

it was hard going from this.........

talk about a different generation. shenmue was one of the last games that truly blew my mind graphically. it was so far above anything else that was out at the time (even PC!).

sadly I never ended up finishing final fantasy Vll... :wow: :lolbron:

I had NES and Sega Genesis growing up. I'll never forget the day I went to my friends house and his big bro was playing Zelda 64. I was :dwillhuh::gladbron:. Begged my parents for N64 that Christmas. Dont think anything will ever top that.

I also give Shenmue mad props too, I remember getting a DC based off seeing my cousin playing NBA 2k (The 2k cam made shyt look incredible :whew:), copped Shenmue on some random shyt and to this day one of my fav experiences with gaming. :salute:

Atari to nes/Genesis

Playing with blocks to playing with sprites

I know most folks will say sega to ps1 and it was major but for anyone old enough to remember when arcades were ahead of home consoles that was the first time the difference wasn't as significant

Games went from simple bullshyt to intricate and deep. I still have fond memories of when I first played shining force as a kid and getting lost in all the imagination. Compare that to pole position or galaga :banderas:

First time I saw NFL 2K on Dreamcast on an HDTV... was truly a transcendent experience.

Also the first time I saw Descent (or maybe it was Forsaken) running on a 3dfx card back in the late 90's.
