What was up with that goofy elevator music interlude all over WTT?

I haven't listened to this album in two years but I saw it in my Spotify and had the urge to dial up a few songs I used to fukk with (illest motherfukker alive, welcome to the jungle, the joy, and....lift off :birdman: I like that song).

Anyway I got it on shuffle and after the first song ends I'm still browsing the internet, reading thru some old threads zoning out. I hadn't even realized that there was no music on for three minutes and all of a sudden I hear this:

:

Immediately I had a severe flashback/deja vu to 2012, back when I was still listening to music on YouTube and had to go through like 8 busted links to find a good rip of the song. :scusthov:Then I would have to navigate two plus minutes of silence and then skip through this nintendo loading page music for the actual song to start.

Did anyone like this shyt?? I rarely ever make a thread but for some reason this shyt got me bothered right now. Like who let this on the album?

I think it was for transition into the next song. Like change of topic Between tracks

And for that 3 minute silence on illest mother fukker Alive, it's to seperate the standard album from the deluxe.

It reminds me of music you would hear in an old school Circus/Carnival or more specifically a Freak Show or haunted house

It might play in between acts or as you pass through the entrance towards the main event

a prelude that almost serves as a warning to let you know something extraordinary or potentially dangerous (scary) is forthcoming or travels this path

I think he's using it here to tie the album together sonically and give it some intrigue or make it appear mystical by triggering a sound you've already heard and drop it before the track that he feels is the "main event"

trying to create atmosphere or depth in the overall sound knowing that people already talk that illuminati stuff about Jay... Then add the symbolism of the album cover which..illuminati are known for using hidden messages and heavy symbolism so there's that.

It's obvious that real illuminati are super rich white people
And they're not making hip hop albums lol

And thus it essentially only has the purpose of getting people to talk about it which in and of itself makes the album more interesting because people are talking about it.

:ehh:Good analysis, dap/rep.

I dig the anticipatory carnival vibe angle but mainly it only made me excited for the next track because I couldn't wait for that shyt to be over

:martin:I know it was a transition but did it have to be such annoying music?
:to:and breh but what about those light drums at the end of the song? That shyt is so smooth to me
Sounds to me like a 90's NY beat just add heavy drums. Think - Mad Izm.
