I went to say what's up but when I saw he was smoking a blunt (mind you it's 6:30am) I told him "damn breh I'm going to work right now I can't shake your hand"

He hit me with the "alright breh, sorry."

When I was 16 or 17 (so 5 years ago ), I decided to get my shyt together to go to a good college.

One day my Messenger app was blowin up. These Mexican nikkas from school were asking where my close friend was, he stole weed from them.

At that point I realized I had to get out of the hood and broaden my horizons.

Many moons ago, the few people I hung around with never seemed to want to do anything constructive. You can only complain about what you have for so long before it should dawn on you to make a move.

It's been multiple moments like this, but since I've gotten into my career and been earning a relatively decent income, I get frustrated that my friends kinda ain't leveled up yet.

Mind you, I understand that things aren't easy and some people go through rough periods, but I hate when I wanna go somewhere or do something that costs money and I know I can't suggest it to them because they can't afford it. Literally the only activity they seem down for, no questions asked or convincing is smoking and drinking at someone crib
