Christianity has always been an important part of our community, some would argue to a fault, but as

more and more black people from our generation reject religion what do you think will fill that void?

Spirituality can and should (even though im not into that myself.)

The best bet would be to take on a Humanist perspective, so folks concern themselves with the here and the now, and not let shyt slide cause

"God will make it right."

I'm sure our great-great-great-great grandparents thought the same thing. And the people before them. And before them.

Also, :camby:to folks who say "We are in the end times" cause of some shyt they see on the internet, Trust and believe that worst shyt has happened
throughout history. Humans are the portrait of fukkery.

It's an interesting question as religion was the nucleus of black social life for so long. I personally think we will see a split where some black people will largely assimilate with the dominant, mainstream culture and others break off into groups with cultures dominated by other religions or interests such as tech or cars etc. I have no issue with us abandoning a religion forced upon us but we will lose some power to organize unless we make a conscious effort to stay connected.
