2 outta 6. 33% winning percentage in the NBA finals. 4 NBA Finals losses.

LeBron's legacy has been both enhanced and hurt by the epic weakness of the eastern conference the last 15 years. He's won a ton of games and MVPs leading undermanned crews to high seeds cause the east sucks but then again he's also made the finals a number of times with undermanned crews only to get bodied in the finals.

another finals loss might end any claim Bron would have a top 5 spot on the all-time list. 2 outta 6 is not a good look no matter how you spin it. :sadbron:

knee tendonitis. that shyt don't magically dissapear in a week. he won't be 100% for the finals.
thats really bad for bron then, whoever comes out the west might sweep him if he doesnt have kyrie

getting past a leaderless atl is one thing, getting past either curry or harden without kyrie might be impossible

What kind of idiot thinks it's better to lose early on than to even make the Finals?

it sucks alot worse to lose in the finals than the 1st round. the closer you get to the prize, the more painful. my worst loss as a fan was the 2008 nba finals game 4. still can't get over it. all those other years losing to san antonio/phx or getting swept by dallas in 2011 don't hurt as much.

The 718
LeBron really only had the better team in the finals twice - against Dallas and OKC. The fact that he brought his teams to that point is impressive on its own, and we penalized other players less for frequently losing in earlier rounds.

It's a harder loss personally for the people invested, but in the grand scheme of things it's far better than constantly losing in the first or second round.

Yeah, maybe as a fan. Maybe even for the players personally, it hurts more to be so close and not win it all.

But that's an entire different animal when discussing players' legacies and achievements. It makes zero sense to penalize a player for getting to the Finals every year more than others that didn't even make it that far.

ur right. in the grand scheme but PERCEPTION is all that matters. MJ is the considered the GOAT cause he won 6 rings. in the grand scheme its more of a combo of factors since there are dudes with more titles/mvps but the PERCEPTION of his goatness is tied to the titles. same thing will happen to lebron. the PERCEPTION will be he losses in the finals similar to how Peyton losses in the superbowl. fair or not. that is what people do.
