do you have a background in music at all? if not, then you need to learn basic music theory and then go from there.

i mean if you already know the basic stuff like keeping time, counting measures and what shyt sounds sharp or flat, you can prolly get started, but youll want to learn more about chords and shyt too.

scoop fruity loops to get started easy and fast, and just watch a buncha youtube tutorials

A computer. Production software (FL Studio, Reason, Logic, and/or Cubase). A midi keyboard to trigger sounds. A subscription to Pro Tools to mix even though those other DAW's (Digital Audio Workstation) have mixers in them, but you're still gonna want to familiarize yourself with Pro Tools as a producer since that's the industry standard. As far as DAW's I'd suggest FL Studio since it has a very easy user interface. The piano roll is very useful for beginners when it comes to programming drum patterns. And just try to find as much inside tips from your favorite producers as possible.
