I think discussion as to how the US would be and what would happen to black people if they won the Civil War, should be had.

I do wonder if any immigration to the USA would occur as well.

Any history buffs making educated guesses would be appreciated.

I personally have seen a few in present day but I avoid them like the plague.

Slavery would have probably continued. And even if it ended blacks would never receive equal rights. They probably would be restricted to jobs with little to no pay such as being a janitor, driver, maid.. Etc. The confederacy would have allied with the nazis in Germany and would have probably put blacks into concentration camps for experimentation like what happened to the Jews.

This is a good question. And I find it funny that these redneck southern whites always harp about wanting the Confederacy back. What they don't know is that if the Confederacy would have won, the whole south would have turned into a 3rd world country. True story. The south was already feeling the effects of poverty before the civil war. Those redneck whites would have nothing but the clothes on their back and their situation would be far worse than the situation before the civil war due to no longer being apart of the Union. Only 1% of the population had wealth in the south back then. The rest barely got by. The major source of income was cotton and they had no industry, without slaves, no industry and dependent on one crop, the south would have collapsed economical

Slavery was not on the decline. Hell Cuba(which can explain why Cuba has been so anti-American) was the next target for the south for turning it into another slave state, as was spreading slavery with every new territory opening up in the west. You cannot build a country,or a society on oppression. It corrupts all around it. That literally where the south was going. The south if it had one would have been what the 1% of America dreamed of. A tiny wealthy population controlling everyone. Hell the 1% wants America to go the Confederacy way.

I think Eastern Europe is a good idea of what the south would look like in modern day terms. Oppression. Wars. Dictators, Corruption. Poverty. Outdated
technology.

Though I think the slaves would have been freed. Eventually... But lets just say blacks would be under a suppression much worse than Jim Crow or South Africa Apartheid. Think Palestine!

This is a mock-documentary about this very premise. It's done from the viewpoint of the winners, The Confederate States of America. Experts from CSA speak and narrate the documentary. It's a satire but with very serious points. Harriet Tubman has to save Lincoln by taking him to Canada. Canada becomes a superpower and slaves who fleed there make it a great nation. The CSA ends up taking over most of the Americas. It has some thought provoking scenes.

It also has fake commercials based on real products/events

The details are really impossible to know, but every other first world country was able to end chattel slavery without a war, so its more than reasonable to the same was possible here. :yeshrug:
How things would have played out with voluntary segregation is unknown, but I'd like to believe it would have better than the forced integration we went with.

Slavery would have ended eventually... the only real question is when.

No the hell it wouldn't. If you read their papers on Africans and slavery they will end their country for it. I think America as we know it would of been divided to different countries sort of like Europe.

After slavery... we'd had it rough as blacks, probably segregated, hung from trees, made into second class citizens...
Eventually we'd gain rights and been made to Believe we are real citizens so that we'd happily help build up America...
We continue to be shytted on well into the 2000s because we still wouldn't know ourselves and we'd still not have unity..

So while the nation would be different, our situation would be similar.

The CSA would have collapsed sooner or later. Jefferson Davis was too inept of a leader

I doubt it. Davis surely would have been replaced though. The Brits were ready to roll with the CSA . The CSA had plans to invade Mexico and Central America. I think there may have been a second civil war down the line.

Grant whooped that ass though so here we are. fukk the South.
