25/12/10 magic became a decent 3 point shooter later in his career

This isn’t a factorthen factor in how weak fouls are today and him going to the line

Magic was such a versatile player, it depends on which team you put him on
If he was in some Showtime-y uptempo offense with a GSW set-up with a lot of passing, then factor in how weak fouls are today and him going to the line, he could put up some serious numbers. 25-15-5
dude was already goint ot the line 9 times a game
Eh, I only upped the ppg on his career average like 5 points. So maybe 3 more fouls a game. This isn’t a factor![]()
He played in the 80’s. The foul calls are hyperbolized, it literally isn’t a factor at all. His foul rate wouldn’t go up in this era.Eh, I only upped the ppg on his career average like 5 points. So maybe 3 more fouls a game.
That wasn’t my main point. It’s crazy he was averaging 12 assists a game. I think with the league structured on the run and gun style, maybe he could get more steals and convert them to even more fast break passes.

Him averaging 12 assists per game isn’t that crazy. The league was structured like that then and the 80’s was a fast-breaking era, offense oriented era. PG’s were putting up crazy assist numbers back then.
I don’t even think Magic would be a PG in the modern NBA. He’d be a point forward.
