This was a pretty dope article. And one that speaks to what a lot of people have been saying as of late. People change, but I think that when you drop an album like The College Dropout, that defines your career, the way it did for Ye, it's hard for people to take you all the way serious when you stray so far from what made you so appreciated in the first place.

Peep the article, if you have time to read a little.

It's amazing how one verse on College Dropout summed up his rap existence of his last album.

Golly, more of that bullshyt ice rap
I got to 'pologize to Mos and Kweli (probably)
But is it cool to rap about gold
If I told the world I copped it from Ghana and Mali? (Mali!)
First nikka with a Benz and a backpack
Ice chain, Cardi lens, and a knapsack
Always said if I rapped I'd say somethin' significant
But now I'm rappin' 'bout money, hoes, and rims again
And it's still about the Benjamins
Big faced hundreds and whatever other synonyms
Strippers named Cinnamon
More chips than Pentium
What'cha gon' buy next? Whatever new trend it is
I'm tryin' to spend my stacks
And I'm so broke I look back like "Damn, was I on crack?"
I mean twelve platinum chains, was I on that?
What the hell was wrong with me dog?
Sing along with my y'all

What would he say about New Slaves and Blackheads? :what:
Isn't that in line with his college dropout spirit?

What would he say about MBDTF, he'd say :damn: I thought I could do nothing but add drums to soul samples, well damn I actually might be a top 5 producer doa :leon:

I wonder what The Bounce Kanye would say about those joints.
"Chi town go-getting pimps, we mobsters :ahh:"
