Would you take job 1, which lets you save a lot of money now (live at home) or would you take a job 2 at a bigger firm (pays more/ clear career progression) but you have to move away from home and won't be able to save nearly as much?

I would take job 1. Unless job 2 was a "dream company." This also assumes that job 2 is in place I'd actually want to live.

OP: If you take job 2, would you stay there long enough for the clear career progression to benefit you?

Job 2 is in a great city so I don't mind the switch. It would be different, but I'm okay with that.

Also, I would definitely stay there until I benefit and move up the ladder. Job 2 is for a big firm so I could potentially transfer back home if I wanted to a years few from now or I could work for big competitors back home

Job 1.
Save money

Take job 1 if you don't mind living at home. Stack the bread and chart your own path moving forward, screw that noise about "clear career progression" :yeshrug:

I agree, saving up a lot of cash in the short run is what really intrigues me about job 1. Also, the position is dope and could lead to connections that might open doors for me.

It's just hard to turn down job 2 when it does (potentially) provide a safer route with higher earning potential in the long run.

Job 2 you said clear career progression bro with that it trumps almost everything. I am
A huge supporter of companies that actually want their employees to grow by just show up do their job and collect a check. Plus going out on your own will make you instantly kick into survival mode, if you stay at home you might get to comfortable can't be having that
