What would you guys think about a Dancehall sub forum?

Dancehall and Hip Hop have a lot in common. Sometimes I see Dancehall as Jamaican Hip Hop more than anything.

Are there enough posters in The Booth interested in Dancehall for it to have its own sub forum?

I haven't really followed the genre much for the last few years but I consider myself a fan. Growing up in London is really when I started messing with it. I guess we could also add Reggae and Dub to that forum.

What do you guys think?

theres a sub-forum for all genres, but as you can see- theres a very small percentage of folks on here to discuss music.. especially anything outside of a few rappers..

Oh, I didn't notice that sub forum. I think it would be dope to have a Dancehall sub forum though. As long as there are enough people here that wanna see it happen. I'd like to get up on the new Dancehall.

I listen to Robbo Ranx on 1Xtra Thursday nights, that's my only Dancehall outlet at the moment. I'd like to get more up on the new shyt. I think UK and Caribbean heads can help with that.

Classic banger. Both of the tracks Shyne did with Barrington Levy are my favourite. And Barrington is one of the best Deejay's IMO. Shubblilly Diddidly Woooooow.

Just make an Official Dancehall Thread breh. That way it will more likely get checked when upped and not be in some subforum being completely ignored.

OK, thanks for the info. And its true, too much foolishness other than music going on here but hey :manny: what can you do?

Deport Dem is still one of my favourite tracks to this day. I really got into Dancehall through Sean Paul. Started listening around '01 when I 1st got to London. I had heard a few tracks before that but didn't know much about Dancehall at the time.
