Is it me or does prime day seem kinda whack, like the sales are "ok" at best

I love when something is somehow more expensive during prime day than it was yesterday.
Been looking at an graphics tablet for about a month now - had a -$80 coupon on amazon for the whole time.
Prime day comes around, coupon gone and it's now priced more than it was before
