Using the social media monitoring tool CrowdTangle, AFP Fact Check discovered similar posts published on Facebook starting in October 2018. In the form of a graphic, it was widely shared in French ( here, here, here and here) and in English (here, here, here and here).

AFP Fact Check debunked the French claims here and found there is nothing to support the claim that the words are Putin’s.

These posts have been circulating online for nearly two years without any accompanying source. The text has also been adapted in other posts that replace Africa with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Why are black people placed on such a freakishly high burden of morality, industriousness and perseverance? @GrindtooFilthy was saying something similar in a thread earlier.



This quote is true about indians, (non-uae) arabs, Chinese, and south Americans also. Its not uncommon to see wealthy brazilians in Lisbon while their country rots or wealthy indians fleeing to Sanfrancisco, or wealthy chinese in tokyo/aukland . This reality is true for every nation that isnt US/western EU/Japan.


You know the big irony here is that this quote applies to actual wealthy russians too. Last i checked, it was them immigrating to NYC, chicago, LA, London, etc. similarly, they also keep a big chunk of their corrupt money in swiss bank accounts and they own a huge azz portion of London real estate.




I know the quote is fake and most likely made by another black person, but we place an unusually high burden on ourselves. Reminds me of the "black-on-black crime" thing that was pushed in the 90s.
