I'm going to test drive this Audi A8, the A8L is basically my "not too foolish" dreamcar pretty much. I have a 2006 A6 already, same color scheme, I've had it for 3 years, one year left to pay it off, but I always wanted the a8. I'm like damn. You only live once and the economy about to crash anyway. How many people get a chance to drive a dream.

What ya'll think?

You'll pay it off in three years or less.

Look around for newer years, lower mileage, and prices

You could also get a C6 S6 for the same price right now they're in the low 30's.

Pay the loan yes, not the upkeep. I'd be hard pressed to keep one of these cars in the 50K mileage range.

that's way too many miles for an Audi purchase, they're notoriously unreliable after the the 80K mark.

Depends how many miles a year he drives really.

You could probably put 40-60k on it and need nothing. After that he'll need rotors, pads, maybe tires. Regular wear and tare really.

My co-worker has an Audi A8 and it's nice. I think hers is an 2006 and that the only difference is that they hadn't went to the big grill like this one. But the interiors are exactly the same and she has different rims. But she loves it and she drives it all the time because her other Audi (1998 A4) is in the shop. She said that she hasn't had any problems with it but she did have to get some new tires because the ones that was on there from the dealership had a treadwear rating of 140. That car is extra nice and she loves it. It had about 57K when she bought it. She has an extended warranty but she hasn't had to use it. But once that A4 gets out the shop, the A8 will be the weekend car. I can honestly say that it's one of the best riding cars I have ever been in. Plus I have always been a fan of AWD.
