I've been thinking about getting a headset for use for my PS4 and PC and I've been eyeing the PS "gold' joints or w/e they're called. I heard they have a dongle that works with PC so that'll be good since It'd save me money on getting a separate one. Seeing that Infamous Second Son takes advantage of the PS headset with it's own sound profile got me intrigued so to speak. It'd be a bonus if it works for the Vita too but that's not mandatory.

I also want to know which one is good for use with an Xbox One and a PC. My cousin was thinking of getting one for use with his Xbox and his PC. Wireless on both preferably. We're looking to spend about $100-150 I guess??

Thx in advance.

Anyone with a headset. How much of a difference does it make in Titanfall?
Big difference or little?

I was on the fence about this, but I know BF4 with a headset would be :noah:

I'm copping one soon enough. Funds a lil suspect right nuh :sadbron:

i have had the Sony Pulse Elites for about a year and a half, i used them on my PC.

pros:

sound was good.
i liked the rumble.
good distance while using wireless, i like to do work around the house while wearing them.
looked cool.

cons:

6 months in to having them the ear pieces started breaking away from the headband.
battery life was about 3 hours.
tilt head forward and they fall off.

i picked up the Golds today because my Elite Pulses were in shambles...held together with tape.

my thoughts on the Golds.

Pros:

they fit great, way better than the Elite Pulse.
lighter than the Elite Pulse.
Battery life is great so far...i've gone 5 hours after charging and i'm still going.
seems to be built better and won't fall apart.
sound is good, i'll miss the rumble but it's not a deal breaker.
$99 is a great deal for this joint.

Cons:

none so far, but i've only had it for a day.

Got a Logitech G930 for cheap. Wonderful headset. Just wish it lasted longer than 10-12 hours cause I forget to charge them sometimes. You might want to look at Afterglow for all platforms.

Golds look to be the good pick up for PS4/PC but Turtle Beach might have some piffery in store for you.
