If you got some start up cash go on craigslist. Research how much popular items are selling for (iphones, consoles, Tablets). So lets say iphones are selling for 600 in your city. You go on craigslist post an ad saying that you're looking to buy an iphone ASAP for like 560. A lot of people will sell to you cuz they want quick cash and don't wanna wait.
Once you acquire the iphone make a new ad selling it for like 620. Make the ad well written and really make your product sounds nice (its in great condition, no smoking household, only one owner, etc etc).
You gotta be flexible and willing to haggle. But after gas you should be able to make at least 15 dollars on every item you buy and sell.
