I can barely play games from last gen without hitting the and turning that shyt off.

It'd be nice not to have to switch back to PS3 or PS4 if I'm still trying to finish something (backlog is crazy).

Don't REALLY care about going further back than that though. Most worthwhile PS1/PS2 games are on PSN and I long ago lost the CDs anyway

For me my PS4 exclusive backlog is big enough to warrant it. If the Five gives upgrades to shyt like Bloodborne and Horizon it's even more crucial.

it's pretty important at the start of the generation when big games aren't really out yet and given how a lot of games these days are multiplayer oriented it's crucial to allow people to move consoles and continue. Devs don't need to port another version of games like GTA or Fortnite over.

I get wanting to play ps4 games even after the ps5 drops, but people really pressed for ps1/2 games?

I didn't think it was back in the PS1 - PS3 era.

But now as games become living games and games become longer (Witcher 3, Skyrim) backwards compatibility does become an issue. Part of the reason I mainly PC game is so I can play ALL of my games.

I want to play the new stuff. But I still rock Cities Skylines or will eventually want to finish AC Odyessey in the next year. I wish I could play NFL2k5 on my PS4 right now.

its somewhat fair to not want to have to go thru the hassle of hooking/unhooking 5 different Playstations based on which game you want to play.

Now there is no Ps1 or PS2 games i'm pressed about playing on the regular..so i could understand if it was only readily backwards compatible for the 3 and 4, but just think of all the wires of having to maneuver around 5 systems. if you could have it all in one box it saves a lot of work.

this makes the system for me but doesnt break it if its not there because we grew up in an era where that wasnt a given.

It’s great to be able to go back and play some classic games.

You spend all that money on software you shouldn’t have to hold on to old hardware to play it.

Gonna be buying most of my games on the Xbox digital store cause I know I’ll always be able to play my games from now into the future.
