On topic:

Almost fell for one of those your brother was in car wreck with my brother who’s a gang member and we holding him hostage until you pay up phone scams. His ass was not responsible, was not answering his phone, so I assumed he really did get into some shyt. I pretend my phone signal dropped so I could call my mom and she said and I quote , “I don’t know where that nikka at”:stopitslime:

So nobody knows where he’s at and I’m driving to a CVS to get money and then the “gang” member says send western express to Costa Rica to this number. At this point I’m like alright I see where is going hung up on him (if this is true lord protect my baby bro) and went back to work explaining to my boss how I almost fell for a gift card scam. :snoop:

I can't think of a scam I fell for.

But for a while I got sucked into the talking point that class is a bigger issue than race in America.

And while it's true that we have a class problem in this country, where we have the ultra rich...and everyone else....it's also true that no matter what issue you're talking about....no matter what metric you look at....black people and other minorities are at the bottom of it.

And I think what felt insidious about it is that talking about class became a way for people to downplay the racial disparities we have in this country. And that we continue to ignore. So it's not what I'd call a "scam" but it is something ...maybe that's what you call "falling for the okey doke"
