What's gonna be the Matlock, M*A*S*H, Perry Mason, western movies, etc for our generation as grandparents?

Too many options now. Back then with limited choice you had to rinse it plus life was arranged around a set list as opposed to streaming.

Think how many jits wore out that same old VHS coming up. That and old people are creatures of habit. Just see Coli threads for example.

Actually, thinking about it its obvious.

The Wire.

It'll be way too slow paced, intricate and not enough buffoonery to capture the next next gens fragmented attention. Those that are watching it now will still be then and still picking up new details woven into the motion picture ish along with reminding them of when they were with it...

Anime. Everyone and their mama is an anime fan now. The fad will die down to pre-2016 levels and the next generation will consider it lame/weirdo shyt.

You’ll have people telling their grandkids in 2060 “What do y’all whippersnappers know about Naruto and Full Metal Alchemist? Those were real shows! Back in my day, that’s all we had!”

I think it's gonna be a lot of shyt we wouldn't guess, like How I Met Your Mother and Two & A Half Men. I'm not sure how prestige television will age for casual people. You can watch any episode of Murder, She Wrote or Magnum PI or Columbo in any order you want Most of the shows our grandparents watched were not complicated tales where every episode has to be watched in order and it all culminates in a final episode. As as a kid I could sit down with my grandma and watch a few episodes of her shows and see multiple resolutions. Oh, the guy in the red hat was the murderer! Wow, the lady in the bank was the thief all along! What resolutions would your grandson get while watching a couple episodes of...Breaking Bad.
