You know damn well This is just gonna be a whole shyt storm about quotables lol

I don't deny Kendrick strengths but people really deny the big gaps in what he offers that top tier dudes usually have. I can't think of Kendrick verses like that people passionately rap all the way through and quote like that. Where the iconic features.

This ain't to say Kendrick don't go hard, it's just his sh*t don't resonate in all the ways they probably should for all the praise he gets

But, I'm gonna wait to see the examples.

Kendrick just isn’t that type of artist to me, I look at his verses as a whole which are usually dope, but he doesn’t have like particular lines that really stand out if that makes sense, so I do know what people mean with the quotable shyt, but I also think people here go overboard with that imo because there’s not a lot of whole other shyt you can really down him on as an artist, he can rap like crazy, he makes dope albums/songs, he’s consistent, has commercial appeal/has good sales, and his videos and performances are usually fire.

The one verse that I do usually see people rap word for word tho is fukkin problems but that’s not even his song lol

Visions of Martin Luther staring at me
Malcolm X put a hex on my future, someone catch me
I'm falling victim to a revolutionary song,
the Serengeti's clone
Back to put you backstabbers back on your spinal bone
You slipped your disc when I slid you my disc
You wanted to diss but jumped on my dikk

Grown men never should bite their tongue
Unless you eating p*ssy that smell like it's a stale plum
I got my finger on the mothafukkin' pistol
Aiming it at a pig, Charlotte's web is going to miss you

My issue isn't televised, and you ain't gotta tell the wise
How to stay on beat, because our life's an instrumental
This is physical and mental, I won't sugar coat it
You'd die from diabetes if these other nikkas wrote it

And everything on TV just a figment of imagination
I don't want plastic nation, dread that like a Haitian

While you mothafukkas waiting, I be off the slave ship
Building pyramids, writing my own hieroglyphs

Guilt trippin' and feelin' resentment
I never met a transient that demanded attention
They got me frustrated, indecisive and power trippin'
Sour emotions got me lookin' at the universe different

I should distance myself, I should keep it relentless
My selfishness is what got me here, who the fukk I'm kiddin'?
So I'mma tell you like I told the last bum
Crumbs and pennies, I need all of mines
And I recognize this type of panhandlin' all the time
I got better judgement, I know when nikka's hustlin', keep in mind
When I was strugglin', I did compromise, now I comprehend

I smell Grandpa's old medicine, reekin' from your skin
Moonshine and gin, nikka you're babblin', your words ain't flatterin'
I'm imaginin' Denzel but lookin' at O'Neal

Kazaam is sad thrills, your gimmick is mediocre
The jig is up, I seen you from a mile away losin' focus

And I'm insensitive, and I lack empathy
He looked at me and said, "Your potential is bittersweet"
I looked at him and said, "Every nickel is mines to keep"

He looked at me and said, "Know the truth, it'll set you free
You're lookin' at the Messiah, the son of Jehovah, the higher power
The choir that spoke the word, the Holy Spirit
The nerve of Nazareth, and I'll tell you just how much a dollar cost

The price of having a spot in Heaven, embrace your loss. I am God"

:francis: see this what I mean. It's good/great rapping but nah... that ain't hitting the criteria. Especially for the level he's perceived to be at.

Them verses ain't "iconic" or really remembered or referenced like that.
