like even barnes n nobles is sellin' it now? what's with the high level of interest in it again?

I can only assume the 90s baby generation of kids want to invest and discover what physical music feels like again...
Makes me wish I didn't sell the majority of my record collection...I love it, but it's a inconvienient medium.

all these hipsters and their wannabe retro shyt I assume...
I collect vinyl myself, but for different reasons obviously. I have an respectable hip hop vinyl collection, beat break records, scratch records, classic records![]()

Most I paid for one vinyl was 32.47...and that was for TWO songs...vinyl can be expensive as shyt too![]()
They always have to make EVERYTHING a trend, don't they?Hipsters

They already have...it's been going on since around 2012...Also, since I noticed a lot "trends" are being taken from the hardcore/punk/skate community by hipsters.. there's been an emergence of "tape collecting" in that sub culture.. I predict tapes are gonna make a come back next.
Yeah, urban outfiitters has vinyl...but they usually have crappy indie rock bands I don't listen to and have no interest in..I was big into this shyt a couple years ago, til I got over feeling guilty about not physically owning music. I love the physical act of crate-digging and certainly enjoy listening to records, but any sort of large collection is a sizable investment, and not just in money.
I will say, tho, that used record bins have been loaded with piff ever since it became a trend. Apparently Urban Outfitters at least has decent taste in the vinyl they offer as lifestyle decorations.![]()

There are already labels dedicated to them like Opal Tapes which puts out high quality techno and experimental electronica...(COIN and HOLOVR are my favorite artists/producers on that label) and Not Not Fun
I can check out nodata and there are tons of releases being put out on tape...

I think part of the appeal is that whole lo-fi shytty analog sound..

A 12" of Little Green Men's "Time Changes" with "Spaced" on the B side from 1999.
it was hella worth it though, I love that record.
