The Nintendo Wii U is finally seeing some good releases with new entries in the Mario Kart, Zelda, and Smash Bros series. But is it too late to save the Wii U from being a flop?

While I at least hear people talking of Nintendo's console, the Vita seems completely forgotten about which is a shame. The handheld really seemed to have potential. Is there anything coming out that can save it? Will it end up being a slow gainer like the psp?

Vita by far. The Wii U has some promising games on the horizon beyond niche titles. The Vita is still a place to mainly dump old ports.

Strong piece of tech too, shame that it's getting the bushes treatment now.

I got Sly Cooper on it now but I'm thinking of selling it to get more ps4 related stuff. :yeshrug:

The concept of the Vita is dumb though. I'm an adult when I'm on the go I'm actually doing stuff not like a kid that's just tagging along. I'm not inclined to carry around a dedicated handheld gaming device and even worse the Vita is more an attempt to give a home console like experience on the go.

If I could play all Vita games through a PS3 or PS4 on my TV I wouldn't own a Vita. 85% of the playtime on my Vita is at home in bed and I'd rather play on a TV. PSTV might solve that.

Every now and then I take the Vita to work and play on my lunch but I've got a cell phone for portable entertainment so it mostly gets left at home, As concept like the Vita made more sense before smartphones became common.

There's nothing Nintendo can do to make the Wii U not be considered a flop. With that said it will still do better than the Vita which has no big titles to bring in the crowd that buys the 3DS. They said it wont be getting any AAA games and only third parties + indies..you're not moving shyt with that. They should've did more kid friendly games like Crash and other PS1 exclusives on the Vita only to bring in that audience..but they did Killzone and Unchared instead. :usure:

I was really obsessed with getting a Vita a few months ago but then I was like :patrice: couldn't name one game I really excited to play. Not into indies and most of the games I had pre-purchased were ports. Decided to go ahead and get the Wii U where I could play the shyt I was fiending for :ohlawd:

Vita might be deader than the original PSP, which is a pretty impressive feat if you think about it.

The PSP was before the smartphone revolution so it got breathing room.

The Vita should have been a smartphone...It would have had a better chance on the market.

I love my vita but the market isn't there for this kind of machine. Dedicated gaming handhelds are on their way out.

im trading my vita in for a wii u so that should tell you something. i like my vita but like winb83 said 90% of the time im either playing it on my couch or my bed. the other 10% of the times its on plane rides, but on those I find id rather play games on my laptop. PSTV/PS Now make this an easy decision for me, I'll be able to play my vita library still and any future titles i wanna get

both are great products and have great games. dont get caught up in the hype of sale numbers and stanning and look at it from a gaming perspective. if you're not into handheld then that's fine. i used to clown handhelds as well since i havent played anything since pokemon silver/gold but now i really enjoy them.

Even the rapper vita is more relevant than the system at this point.

N gage >> vita

Dedicated hand held systems are dead. Smartphone gaming apps or a tablet take the cake.
