Throughout the years I've seen people praise this game like it's one of the best things ever, and it has damn near perfect scores around the web. I've tried playing before, but it was just.... weird to me. Someone explain

It's a solid twin stick shooter that's VERY addictive if you're into that sort of shyt and it hosts a healthy amount of powerups that alter the way you shoot tears (Bullets), interact with the environment and enemies and just move through the levels overall.

While I never really got down on the first one (Essentially The Binding of Isaac series is ONE game but there are like two different versions, the old one, a newer one that's enhanced with cleaner, more fluid art, music etc that got propped up with like 2 massive DLC expansions) like that, by the time the second, revamped version of it came out, I played and was fukking HOOKED.

As @Kamikaze Revy said, the story and the whole religious content might turn you off if you against that sort of shyt, but that shyt really takes a backseat to the type of character you build throughout your run with the powerups you gain and the attributes you increase (Or decrease by trickery) which helps you later on as the rooms get tougher and you start to meet end game bosses (Mother/Satan/Mega Satan/The Lamb etc..)

It's one of those games where you WILL die alot and often more than you'd complete a game (Reaching the end boss based on choices/options you chose/initiated) but you still play 'cause it's fun, especially when you get a nice cadre of familiars (sidekicks that shoot/protect you) or you're all hopped up on powers and you're just crushing shyt until you finally break on through or die in the process.:wow:

Game's fun as fukk and it's my most played game on Steam. I prolly got about 150+ hours in it. Music is dope and you can't help but feel for little breh in those damned cutscenes.:mjcry:

I'm not really turned off by the religious stuff or what not I just couldn't get into it with the art style and the theme of dead babies and stuff. As many of y'all know, I love old school games. This one was just weird and I couldn't figure out why this one got so much praise.

Well I can only account for myself, but after playing the game so much, you stop focusing on all the weird shyt in it and just focus more on your run, the powerups you need to get to access certain levels and increase your chances to meet bosses'n'shyt and all that. The controls are nice and simple, the music is really good and fits the atmosphere (Some people dislike the more rock oriented offerings of the later versions) and when you get all powered up and start plowing through challenging rooms/bosses while managing your health/money/items? :whew:

But to be honest, the story/setting no matter how much you try NOT to focus on it, when you do...is some pretty depressing/fukked up shyt. I mean, there's an entire level called "The Womb" for fukks sake:huhldup: and when you finally reach to the Chest and you notice a slight but verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry creepy observation.:merchant:

I'd say give it a few more tries, but if it ain't take you, then it prolly won't. Especially the newer DLC shyt which added a bunch of over powered/cheap monsters from what I hear, but I doubt you've got that shyt.

Also the guys that made it already have a massive Fanbase from the success of their earlier games (SuperMeat boy etc), so alot of that ties in too.:ld:

One of my favorite games of all time, I usually get tired of games quickly but I still play this all the time. I got it back in December 15 and I still play it a lot. That said it did take me a few plays to start liking it and eventually get hooked

I need to get back into this. I wish they released all the DLC for the Vita version. That's the only one I have. :mjcry:

Been waiting for the PS4 versions to go on sale but they never do. :kobewhatever:
