What's stopping some of you broke people from opening a Church or MLM business?

I have enough empathy for my people to not make money off of their plight. Especially, if I know I'll be lying to them with westernized Christianity. Last thing the African-American community needs are more churches. We need more blue collar jobs and businesses in our community.

I'm broke now, but I'm only 23 and going back to college next year.

Broke people lack charisma and drive, that's why. If they had enough hustle to start a church in the first place they wouldn't be broke.

in order to really start up and maintain a multilevel marketing scheme or a church (which is just a MLM type structure except you are selling god) you need to posses a certain sociopathic narcissism which allows you to view other people not as fellow human beings but as a means to an end, a resource to be used up and most normal people despite their problems tend to be more careful and demanding of themselves and would be hesitant to destroy the lives of so many people just to fuel their own sense of self aggrandizement
