Drinking and crashes. Ultimately tho it's a white person thing.

Mostly in the south but rednecks down there grow up with it like other areas grow up with college football. They grow up working on cars, they all go to the local races (I think NASCAR has several lower tier race tracks that they sponsor) and ultimately it's just a place for them to get loud and drink, sometimes fight etc.

As it grew it became much more corporate and now you see drivers coming from all over. But I don't know anything more than that. It's a white man thing from toddler to old.

I'm Black Man that watches NASCAR (And Auto Racing in general)

Was into it heavy as a kid in the early 2000s... watched the races, had the toy cars, the video games, etc. I fell out of touch over the years but plan to try and get into it again starting with the next race....

The next NASCAR race is June 26th which is a road course track :gladbron: as y'all know most of the NASCAR tracks are oval tracks (But they all have different characteristics) but Road Courses have twists and turns and such like the tracks in the Gran Turismo/Forza games..

I watched NASCAR cause I enjoy it :manny: its cool seeing the different paint schemes on the cars, the different characteristics of the tracks and how the drivers adjust (Bristol and Richmond are far different than Daytona for example). Racing at Daytona and Talladega are one of the most incredible feats in sports driving in a Traffic Jam at nearly 200 MPH (Yes, 200, that wasn't a typo).

I guess if you are into car culture and love getting drunk in the middle of the day, you would find it interesting.

Gotta have balls of steel to race in nascar. Balls to the wall for several miles while your cars exterior is made out of fiberglass.. shyt, I get scared when I hit 130 in my car couldn't imagine doing that while trying to pass other dudes trying to take my spot.
