Hey, I never DJ'ed before, but want to learn to do it as a hobby and make money from it. I'm a tech savy guy (went to college for computers).

So, any tips?

Y'all nikkaz are lame as fukk. Y'all know damn well dude don't mean to come off how y'all takin it.

Got damn, support tha brotha trying to get money by doing something constructive.

I started by watching EllaSkins on YouTube. He really goes thru everything and is good at giving beginners confidence.

Btw you won't master tha craft in a year but it's possible to start getting gigs and making money in that amount of time if you got your shyt together.

@IbucciMane!

You should find a country in Europe and become the "rap" DJ out there. I guarantee there are spots where if you had the allure that "this is what is hot in America or on the American underground" you could eat just by playing songs off of soundcloud from your computer :manny:

If you want to learn ANYTHING quickly, get up under someone who has already mastered it.

Invest in the trainer not just the boxing bags and gloves

It takes approx 10,000 hours to master anything. If you're looking for quick and fast music like most hobbies ain't gonna cut it.

Don't Believe the Hype
If you really bout it, you need to cop (the aforementioned) equipment and hit the decks for like 2 to 3 hours a day.

That said, you won't master it in a year unless you're some type of prodigy, but you'll definitely improve.

It's so fun.

I sold all my DJ equipment a decade ago and focused only on production since; however, just recently, I am thinking of re'copping the DJ equipment and getting back into it.
