What’s the biggest upset in rap beef history?

You know like in sports where the underdog is given no chance but ends up winning in surprising fashion? Douglas over Tyson, Jets over Colts in SB 3 etc

What is the equivalent in rap beef of this, where one side is the big underdog heading into a beef/battle but comes out on top in the eyes of the general public.

Cube did give us Westside Slaughterhouse which started it and Hoo Bangin remix as a response to bytch In You. But Farrakhan jumped in the middle of that one before it went further.
Plus years later they really made their peace by being Barbershop 3 together which was just an overall good look.

I'd put Kam/Solo vs Cube over the Common situation. That was way more humiliating for Cube. We got zero songs from Cube from that one(if there was a subliminal I must have missed it). As a huge Cube fan I didn't enjoy seeing that one.

The bytch in you to this day is one of the most damming diss tracks ever

To this day every single thing Common said was facts imo that’s the legit rare one punch knockout track

No doubt. I hear you. the "Muslim drinking brew" line was the gut punch. But I didn't see it as an upset because Cube was just bigger then Common (pause). Common was still an underground rapper and the song was a moment because it was well put together while being aimed at one of raps biggest stars. Cubes response on Hoo Banging remix was light because I truly believe Cube didn't think Common was big enough to address like he did with Cypress Hill who were major. Farrakhan getting in the middle of it stopped Cube from possibly doing any further damage. Mind you Farrakhan jumped in after 2pacs death so the gesture was to end the beef so things don't go further. The aura after Pacs death had rap beef looking like things were getting out of hand so Common gave us Takeover but the beach was squashed before Cube coulda pulled out the Ether. We will never know if Cube coulda dropped that Ether cuz it was squashed.

I mean he thought Common was big enough to start the beef so I don't think that was the issue. I think it more just came down to he didn't really have shyt to diss Common on. Smarter to just throw a couple lines in response and leave it be.
