Hhhmmm...when i was running the streets...after bills I'd have maybe 20 bucks to hold me over for the week...ramen noodles and faucet water 7 days a week...
When I bought my house...between the down payment and new living room set. bathroom set, bedroom set, washer dryer, gaming pc and file server...my wife and I had a combined 1200 dollars between us...and that was for utilities and car notes... with 0 savings...both have good careers but if something crazy would have happened in that first month and we lost our jobs we would both be homeless/me pimping her out until we got back on our feet or dead...
That shyt really hit me that Monday I signed in to work...I was really like "we really just spent every fukking penny we had on this house...there is a small chance we might be homeless in 30 days

"
Was super poor growing up...sold drugs and my mother worked two jobs to keep a roof over our heads...but so did everybody else around us so it didn't seem like i was poor...it was just...life...wasn't until i took a trip to houston during high school that i realized it was people with a lot more money than me...and it wasn't until i went to college that i realized i was poor...dirt fukking poor
