What's the consensus on "Yellow Album" - Dom Kennedy

Perfect album for a tranquil, summer night. It's just got a different vibe. You can just throw it on and chill.

The tape doesn't try to be anything it's not, I got entirely what he was going for w/ the rapping. It's feet kicked back, chilling on the couch music. The verses are concise, albeit a bit superficial. Even though it has its fair share of average/weak tracks, the project isn't meant to be scrutinized so you can just take those out of rotation and it wouldn't hurt the flow of the album.

It's a shame though that he wasted all that production on a fukkin mixtape.

You know I wasn't really feeling all that much when it first dropped. I thought it was cool, but not as great as most peeps was feeling at the time. I threw that shyt on like 2 weeks ago for the hell of it, and I finally got it. It hit me like a cartoon idea light bulb, I was sitting there like I get it now. I must've played it through like 7 times straight. shyt was simple but brilliant.

THIS KILLED IT FOR ME. SON WAS TALKING. I HAD TO KINDA IGNORE HIM AND JUST LET THE SONG FLOW. I CAN'T SEE PLAYING THIS ANYWHERE BUT IN THE CAR WHEN I'M NOT REALLY PAYING ATTENTION.
