There is the human animal and there's the imaginary world of the person
A person, for instance, has a name. A story. Culture. Science. The person is the imaginary part.
The person is able to behave based on reason. Rules. Logic. They can control the animal desires
A sub person behaves as a wild animal. Just sticking their nose in anything that get a their appetite's attention
Some pets make better people than some humans
