What's the difference between the Knicks and Trail Blazers outside of location?

Both won titles in the trash ass 70s
Both got blocked from winning titles by Jordan in the 90s
Both lost two finals in the 90s
Both have good players who were fukked up by injuries (King, Houston, Roy, Odom)

So in short the Knicks are basically just the Trail Blazers with media hype and Spike Lee at court side

I always wondered what is the mystique about the Knicks

I've heard them get put in the Lakers & Boston ranks & I just don't see it.

I get NY is big so numbers sway opinion but they haven't done shyt NBA wise. Chicago deserve more love but I guess the NY media is too strong
