That part but wit 96,I kinda feel that Black Cloud associated with it because of The East Vs West Beef & Pac's Death plus Makaveli dropping afterwards(I think Yo! MTV Raps ended that Year)was the dominating Storyline where I felt things became more 'serious' plus it dealt a Blow like when Kurt Committed that and it deflated Grunge......

But you had Space Jam,Full Season of MJ Coming back plus Rodman fukkery,The 96 NBA Draft,Will Smith Breakout,NY Yankees Dynasty Starting & Clinton II

1990 -1993 was a top 3 era for me and basically my childhood. Picked 1991 as there was overlap between everything. On top of the things specific to that year, it had music that was carrying over from 1990 and pre-album singles from 1992.

Felt like everyone was right in their primes whether beginning, middle or tail end.

90-93 were bright pop/hip-hop/r&b/rock
94-96 were darker 90’s heavier hip-hop/grunge.
97-99 was shiny suit era, like a mix of the previous 90’s eras.

97 and 99 were underrated. To me, 97 is up there top 3-4.
