For me it was that once you’re grown you are truly on your own, nobody cares about your problems except to feel better about their own and the ones that do got too many of their own to worry about yours, your parents will definitely care(or at least they should) but at some point they’re expecting you to overcome your difficulties and figure out how to make a way for yourself

That existence is temporary, nothing really matters and our measly pursuit of accomplishments and accumulation of money, fame and materials are equally a big waste of time as some ppl may say playing video games, watching tv or bird watching is.

We're all alone floating in darkness in a tiny little rock closed off from the rest of the universe, not sure why we exist, but stuck in a constant cycle of competition and survival no different than the animals we look down upon.... and we're all simply making all this sh1t up as we go along.

Basically nihilism is reality. But not everyone is ready or capable of accepting this which is understandable. (it goes against everything that was drilled into our heads since infancy...and frankly its not pleasant.)

That realization made me less judgmental and more emphatic to religious people in their inaccurate pursuit to make sense of this

At the end of the day we just want concrete answers and to be told everything will work out and be okay and such philosophies scratch that itch.

then u die and everything gets erased upon death like an Etch a Sketch, All memories, skills accomplishments, talents.....gone forever. thus nothing matters.

but if you're selfish enough to drop a seed then the existential cycle just continues on for another generation

and the curse reigns on.

That there's always more to learn

That’s one of the most interesting things about life to me, there’s so much to learn that it’s hard to take it all in sometimes, especially now but once you stop learning you get old quick and there are people who’ve lived through multiple eras with their own schools of thought and still never managed to learn anything past the basics and a lil bit of “old-folks wisdom”
