What's the most you ever been in debt?

Well, between me and my wife we got about $250K in debt. But that's everything, the house, cars, her student loans, my IRS backpay, and other things here and there. I should have my car paid off by next year though. Hope to have the house paid off in 5 years. I hope to have the IRS paid off in 3 years Lord Willin'..........

Had about $16k in student loan debt when I graduated, shyt sucked but some people end up with a lot more.

Right now I got my student loans down to $10k and owe a little less than $2000 on my car.

Nah breh I'm good. I budget more than anyone I know, and I've got plenty of money stashed away. The highest interest rate I'm paying on any of that is 3.44% so it's basically not costing me anything to borrow it (it's about the same rate as inflation). Plus I make a good living.

My girl makes the payment on one of the cars; I just co-signed so she could get a better rate. And the mortgage is paid by my renters. They actually pay me about $500 a month more than the monthly payment, so that's a win, except they're moving out at the end of this month .

I guess my point is, having debt isn't at all a bad thing if you don't get in over your head and know how to manage it. Having good credit is a big help too.

Not including student loans, 6k due to expenses for college and grad school. Soon as I got my first real job I paid it off in 2 years.

The minimum payments were like 130 I tossed $500 to them after each check.

I'm sitting at about 38k in debt right now....should have it down to $35,450 by the end of the year...I got a long way to go.

it was somewhere between 13-15k. I don't know the exact the amount it started at, because I dreaded to even look at it while i may the minimum payments for years.
