I disagree.

When you first heard that beat come on with the two little bass notes, then you heard the first 8 measures
you thought "damn, what can Jay do on this?" Because at that point all he was kickin' was laid back rhymes
on quasi-retro, hustler/player beats. He knew he had some hellafied chit with that beat, so the flow had to be on point.
i knew old jay. so i already knew he was going to give you that jay and jaz o flow

Ross, no doubt has a good ear for beats, but when you break down the beats he's rapped over vs. the beats that Jay Z rapped over, it's not even close. There's classic beats in this thread. Beats that are legendary in their own right.
