I've never heard anyone ever use this

Typically when a son or daughter is out of control it's because "the father isn't there"

But I've never heard of it happening the other way around :jbhmm:

Does that mean single fathers are better at raising kids :jbhmm: or does it just seem like that because there's way more single mothers so the percentages of fukkin up is higher for them

Don't date girls that were raised by single fathers. I'm one of them and I've had nikkas in tears right in front of me because apparently I'm 'heartless'. The ones I met tend to be very emotionally disconnected and too goal oriented to the point where nothing matters but themselves and their achievements.

Basically..we'll pull a nikka on a nikka
:yeshrug:

Not proud but I just don't know how to be affectionate.

The village raises the child

I see alot of good people that have both one or none

I just hope to be part of the solution not the problem

Great thread

I'd rather my daughter be out here maximizing her potential and setting goals for herself than just growing up tryna find a nikka to latch on to

I salute your old man :myman: I'd buy breh a beer if i could and ask him for tips

first and foremost, the idea of 'fatherless' children is heavily racialized. it's a stereotype implicated exclusively on black communities which is (and historically has been) an attack on black masculinity via infantilization

the idea of the "motherless" home exists to a degree too, and usually involves other fukked up archetypes about black women (hyper-sexualization, addiction, mental health, etc.)

Your father wasn't affectionate with you? Aren't fathers more affectionate with their daughters than their sons?
