Looking to cop something, but is 2-3 years the sweet spot for knocking off that depreciation and not run down?

Idk the market now but in 2020 new cars were cheaper than used ones.

In a normal market a 3 year old car is good. How yall feel about leasing? - no repairs.

Buying a depreciating asset doesn’t make much sense to me. You pay $30k for a car and 10 years later it’s worth $7-5k

Depends on your budget.

In UK, the sweet spot for many people is between 50k-70k on the clock, or around 6-7 yrs old. around £9k-£11k.

Further up north you go in the country, the cheaper it gets- perhaps, you need to look in smaller cities in your state in US

The used car market is ridiculous right now though for sure

It just depends on what you're looking for how much money you're trying to spend :yeshrug:

That said, mileage is way more important than how old the car is IMO. I could see myself buying a 5+ year old used car if I liked it and it had under 50k miles. But I probably wouldn't buy a car with more than 75K miles on it even if it was only two years old.

Depends on the make and model.

You getting a Lexus or 4runner, you running good.

But I would trust many German or American vehicles with over 45k miles on it.

If you're in a mode thinking like that Honda or Toyota is going to be your best bet. Don't be afraid to look at Acura and Lexus models because normally the used ones can be had for cheaper with the same warranty and drivetrain as the standard lineup.

This is how lames think and talk. I pay 30k for a car. In 10 years I’ve made more memories thanks to my car than any other thing outside of my family and job.

Buying a car is one of the best investments you can ever make. Now if you choose to purchase the wrong car at the wrong price. That’s on you. :yeshrug:
