This nikka cole trying to swagga jack kanye west by making his own version of "big brother".

1st he tried to jack the "college theme" now this.

What's next cole 909s and Heartbreaks? :childplease:

Exactly what i was thinking...like i needed more of a reason to not listen to this nikka :snoop:

INTERESTING that he disappointed Nas and not Jay.

You have to care about someone to be disappointed in them. :laugh:

Listen, "Workout" wasn't the strongest record but J. Cole was playing the "Commercial Track" game, it's a formula. I could understand NaS disappointment but the song ended up being a pretty good hit for J. Cole so it worked out in end. "Can't get enough" was even more mainstream. "Nobody's Perfect" was a dope single. I like Cole's singles. But this is going to be interesting to hear how the young lion felt being tapped by one of the Gods. LOL @ people ruining the leak. I could tell Cole was like Damn in that interview. LOL @ that fake title, "I disappointed NaS" did anyone really believe that? that just sounds fake.

Good post. Hey @Rapmastermind, I know you're a Biggie fan. So I am sure you know Mark Pitts is Cole's Manager. When Cole spoke at Harvard he talks about Balancing Mainstream with underground. Really good listen..

(3/5) Cole Talks about making Workout starting at 4:40 and 14:15

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TXMlngSEiE"]"The Next Move: A Conversation with J. Cole" at Harvard | pt. 3/5 - YouTube[/ame]

There is 5 parts, but it is a cool Listen.

Cole got TLC on the album lol wtf

Can't wait to hear that Crooked Smile record. Amber Coffman is apparently doing a bunch of hooks too.

If nas came at me for making a wack commercial record i'd make a diss track called "you owe me" an apology, complete with a BP2 sample :laugh:

The title had me ready to come in here and say 'Cole, now you know :ufdup: right' :skip:

But, after reading, it kind of sounds like when Nas wrote We Will Survive as a sincere letter to both Pac and Big:salute:
