Sigh. I'm samoan. That drink is a big part of alot of Polynesian cultures and customs. We call it Ava but it basically started from fijians (melanesians) who shared it other Polynesian cultures.

Like Poké (poh-kay; raw tuna fish salad). shyt originated in the pacific islands. Now whitey done commercialized it and they got poke shops all over America. Kava is on the next trajectory.

i tried it once and it's trash to me and too expensive for the portion size
considering i have authentic mediterranean grills in my neighborhood where you can get a mixed grill plate or salad that is huge for a few dollars less

CAVA used to be called Zoe's Kitchen . . .. but like somebody mentioned above - they rebranded and switched the format to how Chipotle operates. . . . last time i went the girl dropped the bottle of green sauce on the floor and picked it up . . then proceeded to roll my pita without changing her gloves . . .. i walked out and never looked back . .. . fukk that place . . .. just another corporate culture vulture food-chain . .. . .
