Im talking what are the towns and cities like and is it really a long drive between places like maps show? whats the scenery like? Is it like the movies where you can sit in a chair in the middle of the road and not see a car all day?

Cities like Amarillo all the way down to Alpine

Yeah...especially in towns like Fort Stockton. El Paso, Odessa and Midland are the only places worth going to. Midland has a lot of black folks surprisingly.

is it possible to set up camp on an empty parcel of land and no one would ever bother you? i ask this because im currently looking to try vacat my city because i owe money to creditors and have screwed a lot of people over and western texas seems like the perfect place to disapear to for at least 5-7 years until my credit goes down by itself back to normal and i dont owe this 103k hanging over my head. i read any debt after 5 years gets erased but during those 5 years they can do anything they want to you including jail time

Lived in Abilene for 2 years. 100,000 people but feels like a small town. Texas is exactly how you imagine it is though. It takes hours to drive anywhere of importance. The small towns are really small towns. some PAWG's though.:youngsabo:

You might be better off near the Rio Grande then. Lots of empty space and remote as hell. Only spot worth a damn is Laredo though.
